Elise Barberis is a rising second-year medical student at the University of Pittsburgh. Throughout the last year, Elise and several of her classmates have been delighted to watch their campus Bible study grow and flourish by God’s hand. Prior to pursuing medical school, Elise was a professional stage and film actor in Atlanta, GA. While her road has been far from direct, Elise can now see that the Lord was leading her all along on the path that was exactly right for her. Indeed, the skills she relied on as an actor are crucial to many of the challenging conversations required in medicine! Elise looks forward to continuing to hone the communication strategies she first developed as a performer to serve seriously ill children and their families through their hardest moments.
